Study Visits from International Communities
BRIRINS received groups of microfinance bankers from Nepal, Srilanka, and Pakistan as well as graduate students from the Global Network for Advanced Management from several different countries to study about microfinance in Indonesia, especially in Bank Rakyat Indonesia. Participants in BRIRINS’s one-day program received an overview of BRI and Indonesian microfinance, while participants in the 5-day deep dive explored specific microfinance topics during their study visits. These visitors had an opportunity to visit the Bank’s micro borrowers, a BRI microfinance unit, a branchless banking unit, and more.
